HOMESCHOOL BELONGING ALL-ACCESS · FALL 2026

You Made the Brave Call. And in So Many Ways, It's Working. But Some Days, It's Lonely.

They're learning. They're safe. They're becoming themselves again. Now they need their people.

You pulled them out because you could see what the system was doing to your child. The dimming. The anxiety. The daily battle. You made the call that most parents are afraid to make. And it's working. They're learning at their pace. They're not being bullied. They're becoming themselves again. But the social piece keeps you up at night. They need friends who think the way they think. They need mentors who understand them. They need a village. You are doing it right. And now you don't have to do it alone.

The Part Nobody Warns You About.

Nobody tells you about the lonely part of homeschooling.

You're carrying everything.

You're the curriculum designer, the math teacher, the social skills coach, and the emotional support system. You love this work, and your child is thriving in ways they never could at school. But some days you wonder if you're doing enough. If you're covering everything. If there are gaps you can't see.

They're thriving academically. Socially, you're worried.

Their reading level is three grades ahead. Their friend count is zero. You didn't pull them out so they could be alone. You pulled them out so they could be themselves. But 'themselves' doesn't have anyone to talk to.

Programs only see part of who they are.

Maybe there's no good co-op near you. Or maybe you've tried, but the groups only deal with part of who your child is. They need acceleration AND they have behavioral differences. They need challenge AND they have sensory needs. Most programs aren't built for the whole picture.

There's content you can't teach alone.

You're great at some subjects. But AP-level science? Coding? Debate? You need someone else in the room for that. And not just anyone. Someone who understands your child.

You need a partner, not another product.

What you really want isn't another curriculum or another app. You want a community. A village. Parents who get it. Mentors who see your child. And friends for your kid who don't require a three-hour explanation of twice exceptionality before they understand.

What If You Didn't Have To Do This Alone?

What if there was a place where your child could log in and be surrounded by kids who think the way they think?

What if a mentor who was once exactly like them noticed when they were quiet and checked in?

What if every Friday you opened your inbox and saw exactly how your child was growing?

What if you had a community of parents who already understood?

That's Young Scholars Academy.

1,200+ families. 17 countries. WASC accredited. ESA and charter funding accepted.

The Three C's: Why This Launches Them

93% of YSA families re-enroll. Here's why.

1

Content That Builds Confidence And Replaces The Gaps.

You don't have to teach everything. YSA offers 150+ courses across STEM, humanities, arts, gaming, life skills, and college prep. AP Psychology. Mock Trial. D&D. AI: Vibe Coding. Fantasy Botany. Music Making. Once a week, roughly 50 minutes, in groups averaging 5 students.

Many of our homeschool families build full daily schedules of 10+ courses. You design the week. We fill the gaps you can't or don't want to fill. And because every course is strengths-based, your child doesn't just learn content. They build confidence. They discover what they're great at.

WASC accredited, so every course can count on their transcript.

2

Community That Ends The Isolation.

Your child is not the only one. There are 1,200+ families in this community, and most of them felt exactly the way you feel right now.

With 3+ courses, your child unlocks the Friendship Social Club, a weekly gathering designed specifically for building friendships among neurodivergent peers. Not forced social skills. Not clinical interaction. Just kids who think alike, hanging out.

Between sessions, students log into our virtual campus, a proprietary world where they walk between buildings as avatars, sit with friends, eat lunch together, and build the kind of social life that homeschooling alone can't always provide.

3

Caring Mentors Who Become Their People

Our mentors aren't just subject experts. They're neurodivergent adults who were these kids. Many are homeschool parents themselves. They know what your child needs because they needed it too.

For kids who've had bad experiences with teachers, who've been misunderstood or even bullied by adults in the system, this is where those wounds start to heal. When they look up and see an adult who thinks the way they think, who was once in their shoes, something shifts. They start trusting again.

They message each other after sessions about breakthroughs. They email you at 9 PM because they had an idea about how to reach your child. They send weekly progress summaries so you're never guessing.

And for you? Monthly Coffee & Connect hangouts with other homeschool parents. The Expert Circle bringing world-class speakers like Dr. Matt Zakreski on emotional regulation for neurodivergent kids. A Parent Virtual Village where you can finally exhale. It takes a village, and this is yours.

What Homeschool Families Are Saying

"The kids are so happy with their courses. It has fundamentally changed the way we homeschool and has given them a trusted community. I wish we had this when we started homeschooling! I hear fits of laughter during homeroom. Sophia's headphones didn't work during her creative writing on Monday and I had the privilege of hearing her teachers. I had no idea the teaching quality was that good. I just knew my kids were thriving. Now I see why."

A

Amber

Homeschool mom of three

"This is our first year homeschooling, and when he was in public school the only feedback I ever got about him was negative. He really looks forward to his YSA courses. And all the kids are just like him, so he doesn't feel as out of place."

K

Krystin

"Then I found Young Scholars Academy and they were having an online open house that evening. My teen was present and after seeing some of the courses offered, I saw excitement I hadn't seen in a long time. After the first couple weeks he said to me, 'Mom, these people get me. I'm even feeling more comfortable being on screen sometimes.' He has gone from isolating in his room playing video games to being out of his room and asking to do more social things, go to more educational events, and constantly sharing what he's learning on his own."

L

Laura

Homeschool mom of a 2e teen

"When we're having a day that is so tough and our kid just says no to everything, the only thing he says yes to is his YSA classes. I'm always blown away."

S

Susan

"We just felt yucky at the beginning of this homeschool journey. It was so hard. We never felt good about anything until we joined this community. We found our home here."

ESA And Charter Funding

YSA is WASC accredited. Many homeschool families cover the entire cost with ESA or charter school funds. Our ESA Concierge (Gold tier) handles the paperwork for you.

Mr. Sam

Mr. Sam, M.Ed. · Fulbright Scholar · TEDx Speaker · Founder

A LETTER TO THE HOMESCHOOL PARENT, FROM MR. SAM

I want to tell you something nobody tells homeschool parents enough.

You were right.

You saw what the system was doing to your child.

You made the brave choice to build something better.

Now let us help carry it.

YSA is not replacing you.

We're joining you.

We're the village that should have been there from the beginning.

P.S. Something most families don't know: many of our mentors were homeschooled themselves. Many others homeschool their kids right now. And many of those kids go to Young Scholars Academy.

Homeschool Questions

Everything About Homeschooling With YSA

From curriculum and accreditation to community and enrollment — your questions answered.

Curriculum & Accreditation

Can YSA be our primary curriculum?

Many families use YSA as their core. With 150+ courses and Gold offering 12 courses per week, you can build a full daily schedule. WASC accreditation means every course counts on the transcript.

My child's transcript is a mess. Can YSA help?

This is one of the biggest concerns we hear from homeschool families, and yes. YSA is WASC accredited, which means we can issue official report cards that function as transfer credits. If your child ever returns to traditional school or applies to college, their YSA coursework is recognized. All-Access pass holders also receive end-of-year progress reports, weekly summaries from every mentor, and documentation of growth that gives your child's transcript real credibility. Plus, the portfolios they build from strength-based coursework are exactly what admissions officers want to see.

What does WASC accreditation mean for my homeschooler?

It means legitimacy. WASC accreditation means your child's coursework is recognized by colleges and other schools. We provide weekly progress summaries, report cards, and for All-Access holders, end-of-year reports. This gives your homeschool documentation, accountability, and proof of growth that stands up to scrutiny.

Funding & Enrollment

Can I use ESA or charter funds?

Yes. YSA is WASC accredited and accepted by most ESA and charter programs. Gold tier families with ESA funds can pay $0 out of pocket. Our ESA Concierge (Gold) handles the paperwork.

What's the Open House?

A free back-to-school night on July 15 at 5 PM PT. Meet Mr. Sam, float around 20+ virtual classrooms, meet the mentors, and see if this is the right fit. Founding Families who enroll by July 16 get exclusive bonuses and an annual rate lock.

Community & Belonging

What about socialization?

This is what we do best. The Friendship Social Club, virtual campus, and groups of 5 create the social connections homeschool families need. Your child doesn't just take courses. They build real friendships with kids who think the way they think.

What if my child has had bad experiences with teachers?

Many of our students come to us after negative experiences in the system. Our mentors are trained to meet kids where they are. Many were homeschooled themselves or parent homeschooled kids. When your child looks up and sees an adult who thinks the way they think, who understands them, trust begins to rebuild.

The YSA Difference

How is this different from other online programs?

Most online programs are recorded videos with a chat box, or large-group sessions where your child is one of 20+. YSA is live, small-group mentorship with the same mentor and the same 5 kids every week. Our mentors are neurodivergent or deeply experienced with neurodivergent learners. Plus a virtual campus, parent community, and weekly progress summaries. As one parent told us: 'This isn't just some Outschool class.'

Learner Fit

What ages?

Ages 5 to 25.

Do you require a diagnosis?

No. If you're here, you're meant to be here.

Your Village Is Waiting.

You've been building this alone long enough. Imagine opening your laptop tomorrow morning and watching your child walk into a room where everyone thinks the way they think. Where a mentor who was once exactly like them is waiting. Where you get a progress report every Friday telling you they're not just learning, they're thriving. Imagine having a community of parents who get it. Who don't need you to explain. Who just understand.

You don't have to carry this alone anymore.

Founding Families who enroll by July 16 receive exclusive bonuses and an annual rate lock.

ESA and charter funding accepted. Many families pay $0 out of pocket.
